Spider Venn Diagram:
Brown Recluse and Black Widow

spider falling from web
Today we are going to learn about the Black Widow and the Brown Recluse. After reading about each spider, each student will create their own venn diagram comparing and contrasting them. The diagram should list short facts, not whole paragraphs, of how these spiders are both similar and different from each other.

Follow these steps:

  1. Save a copy of the venn diagram template to YOUR FOLDER with a NEW NAME.
    • Click here to download the template.
    • You will see a dialog box where you must choose "Save".
    • Another box will appear where you will choose to save it in your own folder on the server with a new name.
    • Save the template as Spider Your Initials. For example, I would name my template as "SpiderMah".
  2. Replace the title and each subject headings with the appropriate words. For example, you would replace "Title" with "Spiders".
  3. Add images of each spider to the venn diagram.
    • Click here for Black Widow and Brown Recluse images.
  4. Read about each spider with the class.
  5. Add a background and animation to your diagram.
  6. Put your name on your venn diagram.
  7. Save again.
  8. When you are finished, you can show the class your masterpiece!
