| Today we are going to learn about researching on the Internet. If you were going to look in a book for information, you'd probably go straight to the index page. When looking at a webpage for information, you may not see an index page available. Instead, you may be able to find a "site map" which organizes a webpage so that you can see an overview of what the site has to offer. If you can't find either, sometimes the site's "link" page can direct you to more pertinent sites of a similar nature.
Follow these steps:
- Save a copy of the Research I Worksheet to YOUR FOLDER with a NEW NAME.
- Click here to download the worksheet.
- You will see a dialog box where you must choose "Save".
- Another box will appear where you will choose to save it in your own folder on the server with a new name.
- Save the worksheet as Research1 Your Initials. For example, I would name my worksheet as "ResearchMah".
- Open your worksheet in MS Word. Fill out the worksheet on the computer and save often.
- You will need to be getting your answers from the websites listed on the worksheet. You will copy form Internet Explorer and paste into MS Word.
- When you are finished, save your work and don't print unless you're told to do so.
