12/15/07:
- Farewell to my TMS family- Sadly, I must bid everyone a fond farewell at this time. It has truly been a great joy of mine to teach at Tchefuncte these last few years. While I'll miss sharing the joy of learning with each of my classes, I know they'll be well taken care of with the new computer lab teacher, Mrs. Shannon Althouse. Have a wonderful holiday season and a happy new year!
- Teachers- I have added a link to Blackboard on the teacher link page (TMS Teacher Links). For those of you who use this site regularly, please bookmark it. I'll leave my site up for your convenience but I don't know how long my teacher website will stay linked on the TMS webpage.

- Class Reservations Schedule added- The new schedule for computer lab reservations has been added to this website. You can also click here for a copy.
Hello students, teachers, and parents. I hope you find this site useful and informative. I welcome any and all suggestions to improve this site and invite your participation.
Below, you will find the links for the computer lab lessons which your computer lab teacher, Ms. Hoff, will have prepared for you. If your regular teacher will be presenting a lesson in the computer lab, she/he will give you further instructions.
Saving Work:
- Students are taught about saving their work to the tms-server, but this is not a fail-safe approach. Occasionally, files get moved or erased.
- Students are welcome to bring floppy disks to class to save back-up copies of their work.
- We even have usb access on the front of each computer, so flash/thumb/jump drives are also a possibility. These items are not required by me but are welcome in the lab and I'm more than happy to assist students in their use.
- Some of you may even get an email from me with an attachment of your child's work if they wish to continue at home. If so, I will put "TMS computer lab work" in the subject line.
- Unfortunately, there aren't any CD burners in the lab, but some of the teachers do have a CD burner on their classroom computer. If your child asks for a CD to burn their work, please give them a CD-RW. A CD-RW allows work to be edited and saved to it again, whereas a CD-R only allows work to be burned to it once.
If you have any questions, suggestions, or concerns, please don't hesitate to contact me.
